Omni Gel 75 gm is a topical analgesic (pain killer) primarily taken to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and pain of osteoarthritis of joints. It reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint.

Omni Gel 75 gm contains Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate (as a pain killer), Linseed oil (as anti-inflammatory), and Menthol (as cooling agent). Omni Gel 75 gm works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up that interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Together Omni Gel 75 gm works by blocking the release of chemical messengers that causes pain and inflammation with redness and swelling.

Omni Gel 75 gm should only be taken if advised by your doctor. Omni Gel 75 gm should be used for skin only and accidentally if it gets into your eye, mouth, or nose rinse with water. Omni Gel 75 gm should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Omni Gel 75 gm should not be applied more than the recommended dose, to avoid unpleasant side effects. Some common side effects of Omni Gel 75 gm are burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin in the place where Omni Gel 75 gm is applied. Directions for Use
Omni Gel 75 gm is for use on the skin surface (topical use) only. Omni Gel 75 gm should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Before applying Omni Gel 75 gm wash your hands with soap and water and then gently rub the gel on the skin (affected area). Leave it for dry and wait at least 1 hour if the affected area is hand and then wash it. Avoid taking shower for at least 1 hour after the application. Do not apply Omni Gel 75 gm to open wounds, external heat, or occlusive dressings to the treated joints. Avoid contact of Omni Gel 75 gm with eyes and mucous membranes. Avoid exposure of the treated joint(s) to the sunlight. Try not to wear any clothes or gloves for at least 10 minutes after applying Omni Gel 75 gm.

Use of Omni Gel 75 gm is contraindicated in the people who have asthma, liver disease, kidney disease, stomach/intestine problems (bleeding, ulcers, Crohn’s disease), cardiovascular diseases (heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke), swelling (oedema, fluid retention), blood disorders (such as anaemia), bleeding/clotting problems. Omni Gel 30 gm should not be given to children less than 2 years of age. Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Omni Gel 75 gm may interact with ACE inhibitors (captopril, lisinopril), angiotensin II receptor blockers (losartan, valsartan), cidofovir, corticosteroids (dexamethasone, prednisone), lithium, methotrexate, diuretics (furosemide). Omni Gel 75 gm may increase the risk of bleeding when used with other drugs that also may cause bleeding.
